But it's been behind other cities for decades. Why not try enforcing the rules and regs for a chance? It would probably bring in some funds. I agree with some of Mickey's remarks. In NO and state-wide we educate our kids for menial or service jobs. Lately we've been hearing that we have too many universities and colleges & too few tech-community colleges. Say what!? The fact is that we are not demanding our "leaders" to create jobs for university-educated grads. I dislike Nagin, but he's right that enforcing some of the long-ignored reules & regs may be necessary. Too many people, for instance, continually violate city parking regs. I don't know if this rare bacteria (less common than Big Foot sightings) is tied to the freshness of the product, but on the Gulf, we are getting a fresher product that is handled by people who know what they are doing.
